If you’ve been following us for a while, you know we love a spa and an eco-conscious spa is the crème de la crème. Yoga, wellness retreats, restaurants, and it’s very own vegetable garden form part of this resort. Sustainable elements include; Solar panels (used to heat the most beautiful pool we’ve ever swam in), electric bikes and buggies, local suppliers and materials, and the rehabilitation of pre-existing structures.

We visited the on-site spa for the day and opted for the Ritual Oryza Spa for couples. The treatment began with a radiant rice scrub and ended with an aromatherapy massage which was one of the best we’ve ever had. As part of the treatment, you also have access to visit the outdoor pool and bar area for an hour- a privilege we made full use of. Bring to life your fantasies of al fresco lunches in style, ice cubes clinking under the parasol, uninterrupted reading time and daily lunchtime dozes.

We loved our day here so much that we returned in the evening for dinner at their Mar D’Arrozal restaurant. As you enter the restaurant, it’s impossible not to notice the impressive barn, built from recovered wood which traces back over a hundred years. A full-rounded package of style and substance. Take in your surroundings as you enjoy the carefully curated menu which honours experimental flavours and local ingredients from surrounding suppliers.
